Welcome to the Joyful Sounds Music Studio Website!
Joyful Sounds is happy to be offering music lessons to children of all ages! Whether your child is ready to explore their world with music as a guide or you are searching for a release from the stress of your everyday life, we are here to help! We believe that the study of music, besides providing encouragement, therapeutic value, and a sense of achievement, promotes the development of language, mathematic, and scientific skills. Music also contributes to the development of self-confidence, creativity, imagination, long and short-term memory, social skills, coordination, and self-discipline. Joyful Sounds will offer a medley of musical journeys through movement, instruments, technique, and theory. In later study, we will offer performance and musical exploration choices.

Our goal is to create musical people, who will receive every joy and opportunity that music has to offer!

Joyful Sounds Offerings:

Piano lessons are offered to beginning and intermediate students. Students are welcome from all ages, beginning at age four through adulthood. Using innovative and customized programs, allows us to work with every individual on a personal level. The lessons are tailored to your personal music tastes and planned out for you to reach your musical goals. There is no rule to state that piano lessons cannot be fun! Piano Lessons Pricing & Policy	Elizabeth Kuykendall Kunz is also available for accompaniment and solo purposes. She has accompanied every type of instrument and vocalist, and has played background music at many holiday parties, small weddings, and various receptions. Her musical accompaniment and directing led her through several musicals and plays, from the odd comedies of "The Complete Works of Shakespeare Abridged" and "My Name Is Still Alice", to the standards of "Oliver!" and "The World Goes `Round". She directed casts ranging in size from six to 75, and ages ranging from seven to 60. Prices are available by phone or e-mail, and depend on each individual situation. *Instrument Tutoring*	*Music Camps*
Instrument tutoring is available for beginners from grade school on up. The hardest time most students have with learning a new instrument in the band-type situation, is that the teachers are usually overwhelmed with so many students that everyone gets a slight overview. Each student is required to learn on her/his own. The most help you can give your student is a head start with one-on-one lessons to help answer their questions. Music theory lessons are available for all ages and levels, including college level. In addition, music theory is a major emphasis in all Joyful Sounds lessons. Students will learn not only what they are playing, but why. We believe that any instrument can be learned, if you have the tools to work with. Instrument Tutoring Pricing & Policy	This year marked the first year of Joyful Sounds Piano Camps! We had 2 levels of Camp, 1-A and 1-B. The 1-A Camp was attended by 6 new beginners, all were brand new to music. In the piano and music theory portions, we learned about highs and lows, loud and soft sounds, and black key groups. We also found the musical alphabet on the piano and learned many music symbols. In the music appreciation portion, we learned about three composers (Mozart, Beethoven, and Sousa). We also talked about the history of music from prehistoric man through the origins of classical music and the piano. We also had group listening and rhythm times, with each student having a chance at different instruments. The sleigh bells and the guiro were the class favorites! In projects and crafts, we also made our own shakers, flashcards, and hand maps. Music Camps Pricing & Policy
